You are welcome to bring them to Slight Indulgence at 3200 Collins Ferry Road and we will take them to Sharon. Pittsburgh to arrive in Milan on 05 July (note: Milan is about 100 miles from Monforte D’Alba).
Day 2 - Mon. July 05 Milan MXP – Monforte D’Alba Arrive in Italy – Milan, transfer to your hotel in Piedmont Monforte D’Alba. Tonight enjoy a
welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at Villa Beccaris (D)
Day 3 - Tue. July 06 Monforte D’Alba
Morning departure visit vineyards and wineries: Visit Marchesi di Gresy and Conterno Fantino or Vietti Seghsio based on time available. A light lunch will be also served while tasting local wines. Late afternoon return to your hotel for time at leisure in Monforte. Dinner at a local restaurant. (B,L, D)
Day 4 - Wed. July 07 Monforte D’Alba - Verona
Morning departure for Verona (possible stop on the way if interested in Franciacorta for Berlucchi wine). Upon arrival check in at your hotel, followed by a walking tour of the city center. Dinner at Nicola’s restaurant . Overnight at hotel Due Torri Baglioni in Verona. (B,D)
Day 5 - Thu. July 08 Verona outskirts Explore the hills that surround the city of Romeo and Juliet. Visit the Inama Vineyard, wine tasting and snacks included. Dinner tonight will be at local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 6 - Fri July 09 Verona - Florence Departure from Verona to reach Florence the capital of Renaissance and the Tuscany region. En route stop in Modena the Lambrusco wine area for a special Balsamic vinegar tasting session. In the afternoon arrive in Florence, check in at your hotel. Enjoy a city walking tour including the Accademia museum. Dinner tonight will be at a local restaurant. Overnight in Florence. (B,D)
Day 7 - Sat. July 10 Florence - Tuscany (Chianti & Sangiovese area) Morning departure for the Chianti district. Drive along the Chiantigiana route through the Sangiovese vineyards of Chianti Classico. Stop in Radda for wine tasting and light lunch at Podere Terreno, continue to Le Filgare for wine tasting. In the afternoon experience a Cooking class demo followed by dinner. (please note: “hand on” cooking class is only for 15-20 persons…the cooking class has to be a demo only..) (B,L, D)
Day 8 - Sun. July 11 Florence – Montalcino - Rome Morning departure for Rome, en route explore the hills and vineyards of southern Tuscany where Brunello is produced. Stop at Casanova di Neri for visit and wine tasting. During lunch, experience some of the local specialties including cheese. Late afternoon arrive in Rome, orientation tour of the city followed by a welcome dinner at Enoteca Ferrara, a popular local Roman restaurant. Overnight in Rome. (B,L, D)
Day 9 - Mon. July 12 Rome 12 July –Morning at leisure for independent activities or to explore other roman sites. In the afternoon guided tour of the VATICAN MUSEUMS and the SISTINE CHAPEL (with Headsets included). Admire the beautiful tapestry gallery and the Sistine Chapel with masterpieces by Botticelli and Signorelli. See the "Genesis" and Michelangelo's "Last Judgement.” Tonight enjoy a special festive farewell dinner to say arrivederci to your travel companions with Music and wine at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 10 - Tue. July 13 Rome FCO Transfer to Rome Airport for flight back to Pittsburgh.
